cruiseluver77 Posted July 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2007 I know this has been asked a hundred times but I am new to the board. I will be sailing out of San Juan on 8/26 going the Barbados route and can't decide what to do. There are so many awesome choices!! Any help would be great. Borbs11 Posted July 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2007 We went on that route last year for our honeymoon and loved every excursion we did: Barbados - We went downtown on our own for some shopping and then went on the Jolly Roger Pirate cruise. It was so much fun! St. Lucia - We took the catamaran tour around the island that stopped near the Pitons, where we went on a walking tour of the walk-in volcano. From there, we went to this plantation where we saw how cocoa is made and had fresh mangos. The mango-lemonade at the little gift shop was amazing. Then, we got back on the catamaran and stopped at a little beach to swim. St. Lucia is gorgeous. Antigua - We did the snorkeling excursion. The weather was bad that day so it wasn't as exciting as we had hoped. St. Maarten - We did the Lotterie Farm Treetop Adventure. It was a lot of fun. The bus then dropped some of us off at downtown Phillipsburg where there is a nice beach and tons of shopping. St. Thomas - We parasailed and then went to Morningstar Beach (near the Marriott). It was very nice. From there we took a taxi downtown and did some shopping. We found this art gallery in an alley and bought a beautiful painting. The artist is David Hill and his seascapes are amazing. Hope this helps.
