ZZROX Posted July 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2007 Don't think you're going to find one. Most hotels in Europe sleep only 2. They will usually add a cot for a 3rd person if needed.
joan24 Posted July 30, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2007 Locanda Orseolo has some rooms that have a bedroom and a sitting room with a sofa that I'm pretty sure is a sofa bed. You can email them at:info@locandaorseolo.com. Joan
okbrit Posted July 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2007 Hotel Abbazia in Venice has quad rooms. We stayed there last summer (not in the quads) and really liked it. It is a couple of minutes walk from the Venice St. Lucia train station and about 1 minute from a main Vaporetta stop. Do a search for Hotel Abbazia - it has its own web site and you can book direct with them.
Grandtravelers Posted July 31, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2007 Just returned from Venice. The Hotel Basilea has rooms for four. It is a bit dated but was clean and reasonably priced. We found it on expedia.
Rare mahdnc Posted July 31, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2007 dannianni, Last month our family of 4 stayed in Venice in one room at the Residence Corte Grimani (http://www.cortegrimani.com). It has been rated #1 for a while on TripAdvisor's popularity index for Venetian hotels (TripAdvisor reviews). It is located right in the middle of the action--in between the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square. It is only a few minutes walk to St Mark's. In fact it is located right next to TripAdvisor's #1 popular B&B in Venice, Locanda Orseolo. The hotel only has 15 rooms (5 floors with 3 rooms per floor). Each room is really composed of several rooms including a master suite, bathroom, kitchen/living room, and some units have a separate sitting room. They are very spacious by American standards let alone European. The rooms are modernly furnished and decorated. The pictures on their website will give you a good idea of the large accommodations. On top of this, we paid 210 Euros per night for our stay in mid-June. Although this is the most I have paid for a room, it was considerably cheaper than other options that I could find for 4 people (booking a suite or 2 rooms). One downside is that it is not a full service hotel. It is more like a B&B. It has daily maid service and a dining room that serves only breakfast (which costs 10 Euro pp more). However the service provided by Guido, Donatella, and Franca was outstanding!!
syljo Posted July 31, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2007 I am looking for a hotel room in Venice that will accomodate 4 people. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are sailing on the the Emerald next June and need a pre cruise hotel. thanks in advance. Did pre cruise in Venice 3 weeks ago had junior suite with grand canal view at the Rialto Hotel they put 2 extra beds in the room for us at a charge of 50 euros per extra bed (which included buffet breakfast). The main bed in the room was huge we took photos of 5 of us laid in it. Lift only serves 1st couple of floors so if you dont like steps make sure you request a floor served by the lift. Great location next to Rialto bridge, have stayed there twice in two years.

dannianni Posted August 1, 2007 Author #10 Share Posted August 1, 2007 Thanks to everyone for responding so quickly, I will follow up on all of your suggestions. My parents are also traveling with us so I will need to find something that is easy to get to. :)
suekay Posted August 1, 2007 #11 Share Posted August 1, 2007 Hotel Agli Artisti is easy to get to (we took my 78 year old mum) but it has no elevator, so if stairs are a problem, you'd need to request a ground floor room
