paylady Posted August 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2004 I understand A.H. Riise is the official Rolex dealer in St. Thomas. Does anyone know if there is an official dealer in St. Maarten? Would anyone know if they let you trade up on your current watch to a more expensive model as they do in many jewelry stores in the states? gtaylor Posted August 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2004 I believe that Little Switzerland is the Rolex dealer on St. Maarten. I've never heard of them taking 'trade-ins', but have never asked. Their prices are fixed across the Caribbean, so should be the same price as their store in St. Thomas.
funkeruski Posted September 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2004 In St. Maarten, it's Goldfinger.
gtaylor Posted September 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2004 In St. Maarten, it's Goldfinger. That is correct. I went back to my sourcebook and looked, as opposed relying on (a somewhat faulty) memory.
gtaylor Posted September 8, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2004 This list was accurate as of this time last year. It is not intended to be comprehensive, but should provide some information for those planning to shop for a watch. Before you go, know your prices at home. Also be aware of 'gray market' distribution and how that may affect your warranty. There's a lot of great information over at the Caribbean Gemological Institute pages. See, especially, the link for Watches. Goldfinger (both sides): Rolex, Cartier, Corum, Tag Heuer Little Switzerland: Omega, Breitling, Cartier Artistic: Girard Perregaux and Audemars Piguet Boolchand's: Swatch, Citizen, Movado Jeweles by Love (Marigot): Patek Philippe, Hublot, IWC Joes Jewelry: Dunhill Little Europe: Corum, Gucci, Concord, Movado, Piaget Trident/Shiva's: Franck Muller, Daniel Roth, gerald genta, Bucherer, Breuget Touch of Gold: Wenger (Swiss Army) Oro de Sol: Ebel, Chopard Ballerina: Michel Herbelin
