Back from Rhapsody & Stingray, Reef trip

Back from Rhapsody on Sunday so we werein Cayman last week. We took a 1/2 day trip to Stingray City, Flower Gardens and Barrier Reef. I did get off the boat among the stingrays, but when four or five headed for me I sort of freaked and got up on the boat :{ I did get back in & even petted one. But having a bunch converge spooked me.

 

Flower Garden (or is it Coral Garden??) anyway it was awesome. I have never seen such colorful, beautiful coral. Barrier Reef also very nice. The outfit I used was super helpful and nice. They were careful to protect the coral reminding e veryone not to touch it or put their flippers down on it.

 

We had planned to do some more snorkeling independently in the pm, but by the time we returned to town at 1:00 and had a fish lunch in town, we only had a bout an hour left and w ere pretty much "sunned out" so headed back to the ship.

 

Awesome trip and awesome port. If you plan to shop or eat take lots of money...things are very pricey there (to me, in comparison with Cozumel).

We used Capt. Marvin's and could not be more pleased with them. They have a website where you can look at their boats, choose your tour, and make reservations if you want.

I am shipping 10-28 through 11-12 on the Dawn. I also a interested on Cayman Isl. activities involving beaches, water if you know of any goos ones. On various Island as well.
