Restaurants on the POH

We are sailing Nov.12 on POH. Does anyone know the costs of the different restaurants and are they worth it?

Also, flying into Honolulu two days before the cruise does anyone have an opinion about the Aqua Palms Hotel? Or any other suggestions for a hotel for two nights.

Wow, excellent post electricron!

that was very helpful

Also can you/anyone post their ratings of each restaurant, would hate to pay $15/pp only to find out that the main dining room food is better

And also, what's the dress for each restaurant?

I know the main dining room is no shorts, jeans :(, or t-shirts

Resort casual is welcomed everywhere on NCL/NCLA ships for dinner. You many wish to dress more formally any night you wish. You may dress less formally any night you wish in the buffet. No shorts, t-shirts, and tank tops in aby dining rooms or restaurant during dinner, but is welcomed in the buffet.

we just returned from POH....

there are two specialty resteraunts that have no cover charge they are the Papa's Italian Kitchen...very good

Paniolo Tapas & Salsa mexican it was so so with us

The service seems to vary from night to night

There's a cover charge at the Tappayana's which is behind the Jasmine restaurant but they cook at your table like Bennihana's (however you spell it). The food was great but even with a reservation it was a long wait....again may be different on a different night.

Go to the main desk on deck 7 and to the right is a reservation desk for the restaurants. they have all the menus which tell if there is a cover charge on the front of the menu. you can also see the main dining room menu to see if you might want to eat there instead. They had one night with Lobster and Steak (you can order half of each) it was pretty good

Hope this helps.

We did a preboarding tour of Honolulu it worked out great. you leave from the hotel (we were at the Marriot Waikiki beach they take your luggage and then after the tour deliver you to the port....worth the cost

Marriott was beautiful only problem was they were working on the elevator we wasted soooo much time waiting on elevators. It's close to many things though

email me if you have more questions

Aloha
