Smoking on a cruise????(fantasy only plz)

When and where is smoking permitted on the Carnival Fantasy??? DH smokes and I really don't want his smoking restricted too too much since he is going to be on vacation aswell.

in outdoor spaces, one side of the ship is smoking, the other is non-smoking. also allowed in certain bars, the casino, and on balcony staterooms. if i've left anything out, someone else will cover, i'm sure.

I agree totally with you, its one thing to smoke on a cruise it is a complete other thing to disrespect others by dirtying up their cruise. Thank you all for your answers.

He can smoke on the starboard side on the Lido deck as well...ashtrays provided.

On the Fantasy, the designated smoking areas are printed in the Capers every day. If you look at some Fantasy Capers on Webshots...you will see them listed. They don't change, but are listed every day as a reminder.

 

Some areas listed are:

one side of the pool area

casino

piano bar

disco

Cat's Lounge

cigar bar (which is one side of the bar outside the Forum in the back of the ship)

 

The only thing that really changed with Carnival implemented the designated smoking areas is it stopped folks from walking from venue to venue with a lit cigarette to reduce smoke on the Promenade because of children.

 

Also if smoking in your cabin, please do not open the door to air out your cabin into the hallways. There is no smoking allowed in the hallways (including residual from cabins) again to reduce the exposure of children to the smoke.
