bluecookies Posted August 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2007 I know this must be a very silly question to some of you, but let me give you some background. I live in Michigan and have only been to Florida a handful of times. The last time I was in Orlando I was probably 8 or 10 and I am just not familiar with these things. To the best of my knowledge, Orlando is in the center of the state. Yet it appears you fly into Orlando to catch a ship for Port Canaveral right? So is the airport and cruise termial like an hour or two away? How does this work?
deaner3 Posted August 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2007 it is about 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport to the port. very easy drive to get there. you can either rent a car or take a shuttle.
wrp96 Posted August 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2007 Port Canaveral is about 45 minutes to an hour away from MCO (not much longer than it takes to get from Port of Miami to FLL or Port Everglades to MIA - which is done all the time). No big deal. You just make sure to add a little extra time for transit. Your transportation options are plenty, you either get RCCL transfers, rent a car, or get a shuttle service. Tanker4 Posted August 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2007 Picked up our DD and her family at MCO Sunday before last and drove to Pt. Canaveral. Driving time from the airport short term parking to the port was about 40 minutes. Tanker
