Rare whitshel Posted August 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2004 We wil be doing the explorer eastern itiniary, which does san jaun, st martin, st thomas, and naussu. dougp26364 Posted August 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2004 I believe you only have to clear customs if you're arriving from a non US territory. If you stop at St. Martin before St. Thomas, then I think the ship has to clear customs. Since Puerto Rico is the first stop, I don't think you have to clear customs there. Tromler Posted August 22, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2004 Right, we did EOS in Dec, went to San Juan with no customs, but did have to stop at customs for St Thomas prior to getting off. :)

lisajoy Posted August 23, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2004 It takes no time to go through customes. I would say we waited maybe 15 min in line.
AdrieneAGD Posted August 23, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2004 From what I've heard, how they do it (at least on the Mariner) is that customs sets up shop in the dining room. You stand in line for about 10 minutes, show them your passport, and you're on your way. Sounds fairly painless. I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks, though!
