homolog Posted August 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2007 We are booked on the Dec 21st cruise on the Voyager. This is our first-time RSSC- cruise. Having sailed with Seabourn before, we loved the easy way to order a drink: no thinking about the price, no signing, just order and enjoy! But concerning RSSC we have differing informations about the drinks policy. Past- RSSC- travellers told us that only wine during dinner was complimentary, the RSSC-Site says: complimentary beverages including select wines and spirits served throughout the ship! I'm a bit confused, so please help. Thanks Chris from Cologne, Germany
dfb Posted August 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2007 Chris, The RSSC website is correct. Your friends were correct too, they just must not have cruised RSSC in the past year or so. The link below is to the news release announcing the policy change last year. http://www.rssc.com/about/newsdetail.jsp?newsorigin=news&newsid=RSSCliquorpolicy2007 Enjoy your first RSSC cruise, Debbie
dougburns Posted August 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2007 RSSC is all inclusive. Keep in mind though if you are a smoker that the line will not permit smoking in staterooms or on balconies effective with the 21 Dec cruises.
homolog Posted August 7, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted August 7, 2007 Thanks for the quick reply, Debbie. And Dougburns, as non-smokers we prefer non-smoking surroundings. We are anxious to sail with RSSC because we are spoiled by Seabourn's great service but willing to broaden our cruise-horizons. Greetings from rainy Cologne
Iamboatman Posted August 8, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2007 I think you will find your Regent experience a bit different from your Seabourn ones. I hope you will share your opinions upon your return.
comettgirl Posted August 12, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2007 Iamboatman, In your opinion is Regent better or not as good then Seaborn?
jhp Posted August 12, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2007 I'm sure I would love Seabourn, except they don't have balconies! At least the kind you can go out and sit on! Just depends on what you want! So many good lines out there!
