MrFSS Posted August 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2007 My wife and I will be on the 9/9/07 Veendam cruise from NYC to Montreal. Some friends decided to go with us and booked several months after we did. We have all received our travel docs. Ours show our cabin assignment but they don't have anything shown on theirs. We are booked in the same class. Is this common that they won't know until check-in? Should they be worried they don't have a cabin assigned to them? Thanks!! Hi, If your friends booked a guarantee they will not have their assignment until about 10-12 days out. If they booked a specific cabin the room number should be on the invoice they received from the travel agent. On the ticket page of the documents it will show a cabib number if chosen by them, or a category class and a 0 (if guarantee). They can access their info through the HAL website. Go to "for booked guests" , then online check-in, and enter the 6 digit booking number (letters and numbers). If they haven't been assigned it will show "GUAR". It is guaranteed so I guess they will have to wait and see. Thanks!!!
jtl513 Posted August 10, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2007 As GN said, Guarantee cabins are usually assigned 10-12 days out ... but it may be sooner, and they may not know until they get to the pier. Don't panic ... they'll get what they paid for ... or higher.
