Eastern Caribbean beaches

is it possible to disembark and find a beach to stay for the day that is within walking distance of any the ports. We are stopping at St.Thomas, St. Kitts, Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua.

Generally speaking, you will have to at least take a cab ride. None that I remember that are really within walking distance.

I could be wrong but I don't recall a beach within walking distance at any of the ports you listed. However, at all of them you can grab a cab as you get off the ship and they will take you to a beach and it's easy to grab a cab back. Just watch your time as afternoon traffic can be difficult.

Dickenson Bay is close in Antigua. You still need to cab it there but close and very nice. St Thomas is a cab ride to any of the beaches. Barbados watch out for the high cab rates, the ship does a trip for 25 dollars and that is the best value there I think. St Kitts we did the sail to Nevis. It was nice but not much beach time, good party cataraman.
