KKCruisers Posted August 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2007 Here is a good link for anyone who might be interested in tracking the hurricane. Right now it looks like it might miss the Big Island. Let's hope so! It looks pretty big. http://www.accuweather.com/maps-satellite.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&zipChg=1&site=HI_&type=ei&anim=0&large=
lvcruises Posted August 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2007 Hi Kat I was just looking at AOL news and they are saying the Big Island may get more of this storm then they first thought. It was suppose to turn into a Category 1 because of the cooler water and it isn't doing that. They are saying it could stay Category 3 and only be about 70 miles out to sea. Guess we will find out more tomorrow. Lets hope it does get weaker. Julie
DearOldDad Posted August 14, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2007 I am aboard the POAm now and we are on Maui. No problems right now but looking at rain, wind, and heavier seas tomorrow (Tue) and Wednesday. The link I've been using is: http://www.prh.noaa.gov/cphc/tc_graphics/latest_w.php?stormid=EP092007

No problems right now but looking at rain, wind, and heavier seas tomorrow (Tue) and Wednesday. We will be coming on board as you leave this Saturday. Curious to see if they change any of your port visits due to storm. Let us know.
