I'm actually shocked that a cruise line would let a registered sex offender on board a cruise ship with children. Isn't part of the conviction that you aren't allowed to be within 100 yards of a daycare/school/camp? That certainly would seem to apply to a cruiseship where children's activities are ever-present.

 

There's another law that should be passed.

There was a news report here last year about a child pornographer being onboard a ship (I can't remember which one) and the police arrested him as he disembarked. I guess they had gone to his house to arrest him on the charges, he happened to be on a cruise, so they arrested him there.

It's not the cruiselines responsibility or fault whatsoever....INS/FBI/Coast Guard are supposed to screen passenger manifests. It usually happens after being on board according to other posters on the thread.

 

You're shocked about REGISTERED sex offenders - what about the ones that don't register (or haven't been caught?)
