sbcatcher1 Posted May 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2004 I have checked the weather.com website daily & rain is scheduled everyday next week, 30-50%. What does this mean for Alaska? Rain all day or off again, on again? Also what is the chance that it will change? Yukon Posted May 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2004 In coastal Alaska, the weather just is what it is. The weather people get hired for their sense of humour (and I suppose because the government thinks it should at least pretend to know what's going on!). If the forecast (even the one 24 hours in advance) is for rain, it could be a little shower, heavy rain all day or it could be sunny - that's not sarcasm, that's the reality of the weather here. alpal1993 Posted May 19, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2004 HI Don't feel bad they can't get the weather right here in Florida either. The only truth is it will not be cold in the summer. You can be listening to the news and they are telling you it is sunny and you look out your window and it is pouring. It can rain on one side of the street and be sunny on the other. And then there are sun showers.it is pouring down rain, but the sun is still brightly shinning.Makes for beautiful rainbows.
