Christmas Markets - Shopping

We are going on a Danube river cruise in the middle of December 2007 and are looking for suggestions on what to buy at the various Christmas Markets. We will be stopping at Rothenberg, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Passau, and Vienna. Thanks!:)

Stuff that's actually made in-country, like good nutcrackers (the cheaper ones come from China, as do a lot of the glass ornaments, just like in the U.S.). Also, the Gluhwein cups with the name of the individual Christmas market where you buy and consume the contents are fun to keep. And the truth is, even if some of the things you buy aren't totally authentic, it's still fun to look at them years later and say, "Oh, remember when we bought that in...?"
