We will be doing a 10 Volendam Panama cruise in 2008. My husband asked if you can order Eggs Benedict for breakfast from room service? I know they have a little room service menu you can hang onthe door, but I have heard people say that you can order more than what is on it. Thanks for your help.

You can call in your order by phone and speak to a live person, or you can write in in on the door card menu. There are days when some things are not available, just try again the next day. We've seldom been told "no".

We wrote in Eggs Benedict on the breakfast menu card and every day, except one, the EB arrived. The only day it didn't, we had ordered breakfast to be delivered early, I think around 7:00, and the delivery person told us it was too early. They made and delivered everything on the order but the EB. This was on the Zuiderdam, so I don't know if this is how it's done on all the ships.

yes you can order other things then whats on the list, i can recomend

smoked salmon which i just wrote on the orderform, bon appetite

If you do not find what you want on the menu card that you put out at night wright it in and they will provide it....

One other tip I learned from others on another thread...is to ask for the hollindaise sauce on the side.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Yes, we are really looking forward to our second cruise!!! Hopefully this time we will know a little more - thanks to this message board.
