roe2ship Posted September 6, 2007 #26 Share Posted September 6, 2007 does anyone know about c752 on the golden? I would not be happy with the beam and have time to change rooms. No beam, no need to change rooms. Enjoy!
MNYTRPS2GO2 Posted September 6, 2007 #27 Share Posted September 6, 2007 We are thinking of switching from C702 to B749 aft just for something new. What do you think? Thanks, Diane From one Grammy to another, grab it. We love the corner aft and hopefully you will too...
ArizonaRalphie Posted September 6, 2007 #28 Share Posted September 6, 2007 I hate to be picky but after reading several of these threads a bit of technical correction is necessary. Beams (and spandrels) run horizontally - columns (and pilasters) run vertically. That's all - lesson over.
Ando Posted September 7, 2007 #29 Share Posted September 7, 2007 Andrew - the beam goes through the corner of the balcony of the suite next door. You are in the clear. (We had D736 on Grand Princess). Thanks so much - you reply is appreciated and that's great news for us :D
can786 Posted September 7, 2007 #30 Share Posted September 7, 2007 Andrew - the beam goes through the corner of the balcony of the suite next door. You are in the clear. (We had D736 on Grand Princess). We will be in D736 on the Grand next summer. Do you by chance have any pictures of this cabin? We enjoyed our full suite on the Sea Princess this summer that we decided to upgrade to a suite for next year's British Isles cruise. Thanks. spongerob Posted September 7, 2007 #31 Share Posted September 7, 2007 I'm not sure if I do. That was back in pre-digital days, I'm afraid. The interior is pretty much like any other suite in the PS/VS category. There are some variations in balcony size and where the beam, oops, I mean column, is located, if present, from one suite to the next, but they're all pretty sweet if you are fortunate enough to be in one. CPCruiser4Life Posted September 7, 2007 #32 Share Posted September 7, 2007 We were in C752 for our honeymoon this recent summer on the CB, my wife's first cruise. THIS ROOM and C753 of course are THE MOST AMAZING ROOMS...you'll never book another room again, no joke, no lie.... words cant describe how satisfied you will be. We moved the bed so we can view the Wake from our Bed....amazing!
dchip Posted September 8, 2007 #33 Share Posted September 8, 2007 We are in aft C753 on the Star out of San Francisco but not until Nov. '08, hopefully no beam on the balcony. Can someone enlighten me? Really happy to get that cabin but then started thinking......... Thanks We are in C752 in April 2009 on the Star!! We booked it the day bookings were opened. My DH thinks I am completely nuts :D We were in E732 on the Diamond. I loved the aft balcony but wanted something not so deep this time. It would be a great balcony for a party of 10!!!!!!! http://community.webshots.com/album/102025550UlWCMW Cheers, Denise

Princess Chatterer Posted April 6, 2008 #37 Share Posted April 6, 2008 The beam photo was taken by Kevin and Susan on the Crown Princess. There are no discounts given for aft beam cabins. The cabin number in the photo is unknown to me but I suspect it is B750 or B751
princessD Posted April 6, 2008 #38 Share Posted April 6, 2008 We Have Actually Booked These Cabins For Our Upcoming Cruise On The Emerald. I Have Tried To Change But There Aren't Any Aft Cabins Available At This Time. The Cabin Has 279 Sq Feet And The Balcony Is 11.1 X 8.5 Which Is A Little Larger Than The Standard Aft Cabin. I Will Keep Checking But We Will Have Just As Much Fun No Matter Where We Are On The Ship. Thanks For The Pictures Marsha

nickleman Posted April 7, 2008 #40 Share Posted April 7, 2008 I guess i'm confused. I'm looking at the deck plans for the Sapphire. It shows the cabin (B751) to be 525 to 706 square feet it is a coner suite and listed as OS. I booked this suite because of no beam. I hape I didn't make a mistake.
