Freshwater pools on LOS?

I just read on another thread that the Freedom class ships all have freshwater pools? Is that really true? Boy, my DD is sure going to be happy with that news!

yes from what I am told by RCCL and from what I have read on here as well.

Yes Freedom Class ships have fresh water they make it themselves

Yup, been on Freedom and all the pools are fresh water. Including the Flowrider, so you won't get salt water up your nose.:D ;)

Does anyone know why they did this?

 

I loved the saltwater pools on the AOS! It is so much softer and pleasant on your eyes than freshwater. Plus I love how you are more bouyant in salt.

I absolutely hate the saltwater pools, but I dealt with them on past cruises. I am so excited this year going on the Freedom that they will have freshwater pools. It makes me so happy. I have a freshwater pool at home, so I am used to them. Infact, I would be in it right now, if its not storming yet again in Pittsburgh.
