Deep Sea Fishing in Kona

My dh just got back from a deep sea trip in Galveston,it was very rough.I think he maybe rethinking our fishing excursion.He doesnt want to be miserable.How rough is it out there.This is kind of a chance of a life time,and I would hate him to miss out.We will be going on POH Oct. 22nd.

How did the deep sea fishing go?

 

Ours in Kona was such a bust, I'm dying to hear that someone had a good time.

When we were in Kona in September DH did a private tour and 10 minutes out he caught his first blue marlin. Not a big one I think he said 125 lbs and gave fight. He said they snagged 2 others but lost them but did catch a bunch of other fish.

He said the water was calm but like anywhere you never know when it can act up.

The thing about deep sea fishing is... it is like a box of chocolates.. you never know what you are going to get.

 

What was a shame is that Dh was the only one who tipped the crew.

How true your statement is. He's fished a lot of islands and has sat around so he was ectastic that he got something in Kona.

I'm glad your DH tipped the crew I think a lot of people think "Oh I didn't catch anything so I'm not going to tip" and boy is that wrong, it's not their fault.
