spleenstomper Posted November 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2007 How did the deep sea fishing go? Ours in Kona was such a bust, I'm dying to hear that someone had a good time.
Jeepers385 Posted November 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2007 When we were in Kona in September DH did a private tour and 10 minutes out he caught his first blue marlin. Not a big one I think he said 125 lbs and gave fight. He said they snagged 2 others but lost them but did catch a bunch of other fish. He said the water was calm but like anywhere you never know when it can act up.
spleenstomper Posted November 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2007 The thing about deep sea fishing is... it is like a box of chocolates.. you never know what you are going to get. What was a shame is that Dh was the only one who tipped the crew. I'm glad to hear someone caught something!!!

He's fished a lot of islands and has sat around so he was ectastic that he got something in Kona. I'm glad your DH tipped the crew I think a lot of people think "Oh I didn't catch anything so I'm not going to tip" and boy is that wrong, it's not their fault.
