luggage storage in Miami

I just found out that my flight arrangements have been changed and I have a day to spend in Miami before heading home after my cruise. First off, what can I do with my bags so I don't have to drag them all over the city, and secondly, any suggestions on what to do for 6-8 hours? Thanks so much for any help!

You could take a ship sponsored excursion, that way your luggage would be taken care of while on the excursion. We did this once in San Juan.

I rented a car for the day. It was about $29 & I always knew where my stuff was plus it made getting around much easier.
