Hurricane Dean & Grand Cayman

Has anyone got word on how it is going on the Caymans as Dean leaves?

Just saw on the news that they did get tropical storm force conditions, so they should be in pretty good shape. I would guess minimal damage(maybe some beach erosion).

Thankfully for them it passed further south then predicted. Unfortunately for the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico it looks like it's gaining steam and is going to slam head on into them. :(

It looks like damage was minimal, some small limbs reported down, sporatic power outages along seven mile beach, really very mild stuff. The curfew has been lifted and life is returning to normal. Civil servants have been ordered to report to work today. Life should be back to normal in short order.
