DWIN1050 Posted August 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2007 Has anyone got word on how it is going on the Caymans as Dean leaves?
Warrior1 Posted August 20, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2007 Just saw on the news that they did get tropical storm force conditions, so they should be in pretty good shape. I would guess minimal damage(maybe some beach erosion).
SharkieRools Posted August 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2007 Thankfully for them it passed further south then predicted. Unfortunately for the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico it looks like it's gaining steam and is going to slam head on into them. :(
yst347 Posted August 21, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2007 It looks like damage was minimal, some small limbs reported down, sporatic power outages along seven mile beach, really very mild stuff. The curfew has been lifted and life is returning to normal. Civil servants have been ordered to report to work today. Life should be back to normal in short order. http://www.caycompass.com/cgi-bin/CFPnews.cgi?ID=1024433 http://www.caymannetnews.com/misc.shtml
