Tulum two weeks after hurricane?

From what I can tell the Mayan ruins in Tulum are approx 100 miles north of the center of Dean. Does anyone have experience with how this might affect conditions there? We have an excursion booked through Princess but are considering canceling?

Thanks for your input!

These ruins are like a 1000 years old. They have probably been through more than one hurricane. The only issue would probably be the condition of the road to get there. Roads down there are built quick and cheap. My guess is that they would wash out easily. Keep the trip...if they can't get you there they aren't going to charge you. I bet it will take a few days to figure all this out.

Thanks for the info. I hope the roads are good so you can enjoy your excusion. In addition to the ruins, there is also a "flying pole dance" at Tulum. The dancers with a rope tied to them leap off of a very high tower and spin around the pole.
