gillianrose Posted August 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2007 I would like to suggest to Celebrity that the reboarding niceties, such as cool towels upon reboarding (or hot chocolate, which is offered in Alaska) be WEATHER-dependent and not ITINERARY-dependent. When we were recently in Juneau, it was hot and humid outside and I was looking forward to some cool towels on reboarding. Instead, we were offered lukewarm "hot chocolate." Also, it was very warm outside by the pool at times, but there was no sorbet offered that we noticed.

Pontius Navigator Posted August 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2007 I wondered about the hot chocolate and the temperature in the 80s :) We were in the Baltic on their first hot cruise so far this season.

How could they expect that there would be a heat wave whiel cruising through glaciers?

I often say this to my boss about a certain co-worker we have. While the cruise line was probably not expecting warm weather at that time of year, someone on the cruise ship needs to ask themselves "would people want a cold towel or hot chocolate?" I'm sure the ship has protocol that dictates hot chocolate on that sailing but that's the problem with protocol, some people will follow it to a fault. OR.....they could've switched from hot chocolate to ice tea or lemonade. Just a little common sense!
