Buckeyefan Posted August 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2007 Just curious if you are a past Carnival Cruiser, will Princess or HAL honor you as a past cruiser since they are owned by Carnival? Also my travel agent said that Carnival didn't have good ports in Hawaii - do you know what she meant by that (I assume she meant where they dock.) Thanks for your help. Cruise Critic Rocks (in a good way)

Cruise Critic Rocks (in a good way) I think that cruises taken on other Carnival owned cruise lines are taken into account for pricing such as in past guest discounts, but not in terms of reaching Platinum status on Carnival. As far as Hawaii is concerned, I did the 12 night cruise on the Spirit last year from Hawaii to Vancouver and loved it. The ports were absolutely beautiful. We met up with a Celebrity ship one day in Maui. It happened to be at a port where we had to tender and the lines did get a bit long. Other than that, it was a wonderful trip. I'm not sure what your travel agent is talking about. Enjoy!

They sure tell me they will in all the literature and emails they send me.
