Ne/canada Cruise Weather Mid October

We will be on the Dawn 10/14/07. 12 Day Ne/Canada, and wondering what type of clothes to pack for the weather. Light or heavy jacket? Long pants or shorts?

I would bring a few pairs of shorts in case there is an indian summer, but when we went it was chilly, darn cold at night but then we are from CA. I definately needed to bundle up to sit on the balcony- but the crisp air was lovely!

A lite jacket should be enough. Similar to Alaska, layers should be adequate.

Living near Bar Harbor October is perfect weather. Warm days and nice crisp nights. Bring a sweater, sweatshirt and you should be fine. We can have some heavy rain, but that is expected. The down side of that along with the wind it blows the leaves off of the trees, and we lose the color. Have a great trip and remember if you don't have it you can buy it. :)

This is our first cruise in colder climates. It's easy to pack for a cruise in the

carribean when you know the temps are in the 90's, but we didn't know how to pack for this cruise.

We're from NJ so I quess the temps are maybe on average 10 to 15 degrees lower than we would experience here?

We've hit very warm weather during September cruises to Canada/New England.

 

DW always packs layers and an umbrella for this cruise.

 

As Surry Gent said...heavy rains, rain ponchos are not a bad idea;)
