blmcdps Posted August 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2007 :) We tried to book the Dolphin encounter thru Disney on line, but it is already sold out. Does anyone know what the chances are a spot would open up once on the ship.
jhannah Posted August 31, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2007 That's always a possibility. People cancel their excursion (or even the cruise) late in the game or last-minute. You might also want to go to this website. See if you can arrange your dolphin encounter independently. (Not always possible since the same tour operators are serving the ship's passengers, too. But it never hurts to check.)
asr3535 Posted September 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2007 Try booking directly or go to the Trip Advisor website which has tons of useful information, including other excursion operators. I booked directly with several for our last DCL cruise, savings us lots of $ vs booking with DCL. In fact, for the ruins tour we took at Costa Maya, we had our own private minivan and tour guide. I'm sure there are some who aren't comfortable booking outside of the DCL operators, but we have had no problems.
lvtotrvl1 Posted September 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2007 Also, the cruiseline saves some openings for booking on board. If you get to the shore excursion deck quickly you may have a chance!
