mom@2 Posted September 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2007 Hi everyone, does anyone know what the requirements are for a mexican citizen to travel to Ensenada on a 3 day cruise. We have reservations to cruise to Ensenada in March of 08. My daughter in law is a Mexican citizen. She has her mexican b/c; green card; and CA driver's license. Does anyone know if she has to have a Mexian passport too? we keep getting the run around. No one seems to know the answer. Thanks for any help any one can give

The border crossing card works like a visa not a passport. If she actually has a resident card, she still needs a passport to prove citizenship and/or the cruise line will require her to have a passport. Also, Immigration authorities in Mexico may require her to have a passport on file when cruising in Mexico (since she is coming from a foreign country). I would suggest she gets her passport through the nearest Mexican consular office. As long as she has all the required paperwork in order (pictures, forms, etc) it will take about 4 hours to get her passport. I know this because my fiance had to go through this process earlier this year before the cruise line would let her get a boarding pass.
