What to wear on the glacier???

PLeas etell me what is the best attire for the glacier landing in Juneau? Want to make sure I have everything we need.

I wore nylon jog pants, waterproof hiking boots, gloves, turtleneck and sweatshirt...I brought but didn't need my rain jacket.

I wore jeans,a sweatshirt I had bought,gloves,wooley hat,leather jacket and a scarf. Bought hot chocolate and stole a blanket.

Check with who you are booked on to go for the glacier landing. I brought a warm jacket, gloves and hat, then got to the office and they proceeded to give us everything we needed-- jacket, wind pants, boots and gloves. So you may not need to lug any extra

 

We went with North Star Trekking and it was an awesome experience!

We are booked through port promotions and I think they use Coastal. So I think we will wear windbreaker type outfit with a tirtleneck and warm vest underneath. Need to get hat and gloves I guess.

They all provide the boots. Coastal will provide a heavy coat if needed. We just wore sweatshirt, and lightweight jacket and blue jeans.

The tour company will provide the boots.

 

We wore a lined raincoat...with layers underneath. Also wore a hat & had our gloves with us. I don't believe we wore our gloves, though...when we got out onto the glacier. It was sunny and beautiful (yet, chilly) out there!
