Fort Lauderdale post-cruise car rental question

Hello,

 

Does anyone know which car rental agencies provide a shuttle from Port Everglades to the rental agency after a cruise? We'd like to rent a car for the afternoon since our flights don't leave until 4:30 pm.

 

Any suggestions?

Most car rental firms are licensed to do business at Port

Everglades and, when ships are in port, may provide courtesy

shuttle service to/from the cruise terminals to their nearby

off-site locations.



Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport recently

opened a Rental Car Center which houses a number of car

rental companies servicing both the airport and the seaport.

A single shuttle pickup at Port Everglades is offered for the

following rental car companies at the Center: Alamo, Avis,

Budget, Continental, Dollar, Enterprise, EZ Rent-A-Car, Hertz,

National, Payless, Royal and Thrifty.

The airport complimentary port everglades shuttle has been discontinued. I've called a couple car travel agency in the FLL location and they confirmed this.

 

Really? I had read that they discontinued the complimentary shuttle from FLL to Miami but the shuttle from FLL to Port Everglades is gone too? That's too bad.

Lisa, I believe you were misinformed. The Greater Ft Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau and Port Everglades Community Relations Department both said that wasn't true. :rolleyes:
