Choosing an oceanview cabin on Majesty

Where are the best oceanview cabins on the Majesty? I'm about to book, there seem to be a lot of cabins left, and I thought I would ask before picking a deck kind of randomly. I'm sure there are factors I haven't thought of, and if anyone has any advice, that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I think that it depends on what you want to be close to. The Superior Ocean view cabins are larger (Cat DD, CC) than the standard ocean views.

We liked the cat DD on deck 4. It was close to all the action on Deck 5 and did had great unobstructed views of the ocean.

I have family members that prefer deck 9. Many of these cabins do have life boats so you have to choose carefully.

The ocean views on deck 7 look out on the promenade and you may loose some privacy on these decks with people walking by.

Our first time on the Majesty we were on the 3rd deck, on our next trip we are booked on the 6th deck. The elevators on this ship aren't the fastest and there aren't that many of them, so we found ourselves doing the stairs a lot that first time. It's not necessarily a big deal to do a flight or three, but climbing from 3rd to the 10th (where the pool, buffet, pizza restaurant and sunny decks are) got a bit tiresome, as we were doing it many, many times a day, that's why we decided to go a bit higher and more "central" on our 2nd trip. I decided to avoid 7, because of the promenade (don't want walkers/joggers right outside my window), and on the 8th & 9th deck, you just have to be real cautious about obstructed views due to the lifeboats.

I was just on the August 5th sailing on the Majesty. We were on deck 8 which I thought was great. We had an unobstructed (although some could be obstructed, check first) oceanview and did not have to worry about people walking/running in front of the windows (deck 7).

We just returned yesterday from Bermuda on The Majesty. Previously we had done the same trip aboard RCL's Empress Of The Seas (or originally The Nordic Empress) which is known for it's small cabins. This trip we had an inside state room catagory II on the 6th deck and I found it to be considerably smaller than that of the inside cabins on the Empress. If sailing The Majesty definately go with an outside stateroom! They are considerably larger then what we had from what I saw through an open cabin door.
