American Express Travelers Cheques

Okay this may seem like a stupid question but i have never had to have a travelers cheque. I read on here that said when using a american express travelers cheque that the pursers desk would not cash it. What is the difference between? Are there different types of travelers cheques? Thank you for ya'lls help!

that is the only kind of travellers cheque we have ever used and we have never had a problem with the purser cashing it, or using it at any of the ports.

Your more than welcome, we also use our travellers cheques as our deposit on our sail and sign card.

You misread, what you read was that an American Express travelers card which is a debit card, will not be redeemed for cash by the purser's desk. American Express Traveler's Checks can be converted to cash at face value with no fee at the purser's desk on all Carnival ships.

We have always cashed our at the casino cashier. It is always a shorter line than the purser desk.
