I just go to the casino and get money on my sail and sign card. That way I get double points on my RCCL visa. Always pay it off every month, or it wouldn't be worth it.

I brought about 800 in travelers checks. No fee. And if it gets stolen or lost no worries.

Hi! If I bring a few $20s, will the purser charge a fee to provide 1's or will they break a $20 for free? Since I'm cruising to Barcelona, I don't anticipate using USD anywhere but the ship.

We usually bring a 100 bucks a day. We end up with enough on the card from the sea pass account, but it is well worth the cost.

We only take about $200 and if we need more, we use an ATM in port. Our Credit Union does not charge fees for cash withdrawals or currency conversion.

 

We save any left over foreign currency as an incentive for the next trip. In fact, we still have our Oyster Cards from last year's trip to London.
