Raised Toilet Seats

Would be really interested in someone's experience on this too.

Have requested one for my mother who'll be with us in March. Have also read up on this - to the extent possible - in the disabilities forum. Sounds like the cruise lines have them and even if not requested before, it's something you can ask your cabin steward for.

But would love to hear from someone who had one on Princess and if it did the trick!

The toilet seats will always be raised if I am on board. However, if DW is present, the seats will be lowered. Our explanation of this is that the position of the toilet seat is based on the sex of the youngest child in the family. If the youngest child is a boy, the seats are always left up, in self defense. If the youngest child is a girl, the seats are left down, to prevent the bambina from falling in.

This has been established in a non-scientific poll that determined if you asked a respondent the sex of the youngest child in his family, you could accurately determine the preference of the toilet seat placement.

You are talking about the cabin toilet seat and lid.

OP is referring to a "raised seat" that fits over the cabin toilet so a physically challenged person can sit on the raised seat, which is easier than trying to lower themselves to the height of the cabin toilet. ;)
