beccadoby Posted September 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2007 Wondering about those upper berths! Any adults slept on one? Comfortable? Not comfortable? Whats the weight limit? :D  Anyone know? DS will be 15 by cruise date but he is big for his age. 14 now and tall and over 200lbs! Will he be ok on that bed? Also would LOVE pictures if anyone wants to share.
huxlemo Posted September 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2007 M brother is 6'2" and over 200 lbs. He slept on that upper bunk last year on the Celebration and he said it was very comfortable. He had no problems.
JoJoinGA Posted September 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2007 I slept on one of those upper bunks and didn't have any problems what so ever!! It was very comfortable to sleep on. I weigh about 165 and never did I feel like it was unstable. The only thing I didn't like was how weird it was to climb up each night. Sorry, I don't have any pictures! We switched from another sailing to this one and only inside cabins were still open.:( Since there were 6 of us, it was cheaper to get 3 -1A's than getting 2 regular inside cabins! DS will be on the upper bed above my mom- She might still worry....
gail811 Posted September 8, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2007 I slept in one on the Pride and was very comfortable. I was 40 something at the time. Here is a picture I found on webshots of one on the Glory; I think they are all basically the same.

majacloud57 Posted September 9, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 9, 2007 Okay, I've been a little giddy from the "Real Men of Genius" thread, but if you read the title for this post quickly, it does sound like someone might being having a problem with something other than alcohol. :D

majacloud57 Posted September 9, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 9, 2007 Check out the commercials on the link listed by the OP on this thread. They are hilarious. Hours of entertainment. :D (Which led to my misspelling.) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=623255

Hours of entertainment. :D (Which led to my misspelling.) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=623255 I went there! Mr nose picker was our favorite! I have never heard of these. We have sirus sat. radio (maybe thats why - if they are on the radio). But these were cracking us up! You cant be on one of those upper bunks and listen to these - you WOULD roll off laughing!:p
majacloud57 Posted September 9, 2007 #11 Share Posted September 9, 2007 Hee hee. Now I have this mental picture of someone literally rolling off of the bunk and onto the floor laughing. You would have to be on uppers to survive that. :p
