Passports less than 3 weeks

Me and 2 dds applied for our passports on 8/21/07 from our local post office. My dh applied for his passport at another post office by his work on 8/22/07. My one dd received her passport on Friday, 9/7/07 which was the same day that we all received our letters from the passport agency in Washington, D.C. saying that they were processing our passports. My dh received his passport on Sunday, 9/8/07 and me and my other dd received our passports on Monday, 9/10/07. We all received our passports by priority mail and our birth certificates were in with our passports. They were mailed from a passport agency in Colorado. We live in Michigan. We did not put down any date of when we were traveling and we did not expedite our passports. Good luck to everyone else.

Yep,...I think I got mine in two weeks. I ap[lied at the end of August and its here a couple of days ago...I was expecting late NOvember.

We applied Aug. 20th, and got them Sept. 10th. After hearing the horror stories, it was a relief. We did not pay to expedite.

They must be getting better I applied in March it took 13 weeks 6 days...Glad to hear they are faster now!!

Yes, my girlfriend applied and got her's in about 3 weeks also.

And her's is the new pretty one with the chip in it...Im so jealous , mine is the plain jane one...guess thats what I get for getting mine years ago ;) :p

Applied for mine on August 16 and got a email saying that I would have it by September 15th. Was originally told 10-12 weeks, but only took 4!

Wow...I thought ours came fast (about 7 weeks). We applied at the beginning of July and got them the last weekened in August.:cool:

 

I did hear that the passport troubles were over as stated by an above poster. I guess that's good news for all those people who wait until the last minute! :eek: :D

That's good news!!

 

I guess DS got in with that last overload then :cool: . He applied 7/5 and we got an email yesterday that it has finally been sent.

 

So that is still like 9 weeks :eek: - but at least it is done!!
