Does anyone know about when NCL might post the 2008 shore excursions for the Gem. I would imagine they will be similar to the Jewel this year, but I am curious about the new port Valleta. Thanks.

Valetta is the capital of Malta. Malta is a small but fascinating island. The majority of people speak very good English. Valetta is easily explored on foot and there are many interesting buildings, churches and museums. There is a cheap and reliable bus service which serves all areas of the island and there is a bus station in Valetta. A lot depends on how much time you have in port but favourite places are Medina, the blue grotto, Melhia (sp?) Bay for a sandy beach and the sister island of Gozo which is a short ferry ride north of Malta.
