Freebies!

Celebrity just gave me 200.00 OBC. I only had to buy $3600.00 of stock to get it. Is that a freebie? Jane

Actually, that is one of the best of the many good tips I have gotten on here. Even my TA mother didn't know about the OBC for shareholders. We are cruising X next summer, and we both plan to add RCL to our portfolios when the time comes. Unless the stock has a very bad couple of months, it's a good deal!

We got coupons for a free drink at the casino last month -- and we were only playing the nickel slots!

Lots of key chains, pillows, pens and stuff from husband's trivia addiction over the years.

Oh, and a very nice chunk of change (and a bunch of OBC's) when our cruise tour was overbooked and we agreed to go two weeks later. (Thanks again Celebrity!!!) :)

Celebrity gave me an upgrade to CC on 12/10/06 Millie...then cancelled the cruise. Then they gave me my money back and a suite on Century 12/11/06. At the end of that cruise, when DH purchased a bottle of Louis XIII they tossed in a free bottle of Johnny Walker Blue. They have also given me countless hours of pleasure and relaxation. Thanks X!

It's a freebie as long as it basically holds its own. Otherwise we could end up losing!!!:) But this is one of my favorites

Also, I love my Celebrity Amex card. I end up with lots of credits with that, too, and it doesn't cost a penny.

But most of all, the freebie I appreciate most is the terrific smile and "good morning" from an officer when I get off the elevator to get some breakfast.

And a friendly smile when I'm welcomed back to the ship with a icy washcloth. You could say this isn't really "free", but I don't pay for smiles .. they're thoughtfully given.

So I'm a little like drfun .... the freebie is the peace of mind and joy I receive from a Celebrity cruise. Worth its weight in gold:)

Two certificates each for $300 US, sent to us in the mail. Upon returning home, I had written and commented (not complained about) the poorly operating john in our cabin; this among a very complimentary account of our trip in general. Out of the blue, we received the certificates, that we immediately applied to our Baltic Cruise which we had just booked the day before! :D

Once you buy the stock - Who do you communicate with about receiving the obc?

My very 1st sailing with Celebrity about 8 years, I was upgraded 7 categories on my Baltic cruise on Century. I don't know why:confused: ---didn't ask. As long as the key fit the cabin door, I didn't care! Never have been upgraded again!!

Also lots of "freebies" when winning trivia contests. Love that trivia!!:D

I've always liked the idea that you can get cash from the casino charged to your account, without any service charge. We have used this for tips, shore excursion cash, even carried some home with us after the cruise. True for X,

Roy Carib, but NOT for our "other" lines like Princess where there is a 3 percent service charge. Hope RCI does NOT do away with this.

Cant really complain because the cruiseline did their best. Didn;t even charge for doctors visits. We did not get sick but friends did.

When our July 11th cruise was cancelled due to the Mille running into submerged rocks. We got our money back AND a free cruise - actually our next 2 cruises were paid for by the money back

I received a beautiful bouquet of red roses when we were the only Elite passengers on a particular cruise. We've done so many I don't remember which one it was. Unfortunately, it was the last night of the cruise and I didn't get to enjoy them very long, as I couldn't fly home with them. Gave them to the cabin stewardess to enjoy.

Stacky
