Tiffany1203 Posted September 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Beware of this cabin if there are more than 2 people sharing it. If someone sleeps on the bunk on the right there is a squeaking noise behind the wall. I thought at first it was someone next door "having fun" but it turned out not to be that. Just poor insulation I guess. Anyway..VERY ANNOYING!! When I told my carnival rep about it he totally ignored me and was more interested in booking my next cruise. :(
java girl 65 Posted September 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2007 I don't know about that but we are planning to pick our own cabin and the one we have picked out is 6323, right across the hall from that. Was that generally a pretty good area of the ship to be at? We are trying to pick a cabin not under something terribly noisy, DH is a light sleeper. We were hoping this would be good, please share! alb1956 Posted September 15, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2007 I to am a light sleeper. I always take a fan with me. Floor fans work great. No ones ever said anything to me bringing it onboard. It sure drowns out all the noise. Now if people would stop slamming their doors...............

gail811 Posted September 17, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Keep in mind that you are close to being just over the casino and may be able to hear the slots below. We were on the upper deck this year, on the very back corner, and getting off the elevators at night we could hear the music from the clubs below. If you have not already booked you may want to consider going up one deck to the Empress deck; there you will be between two decks of cabins. GwenyP Posted September 17, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Yep, that's what we did for our upcoming October cruise on the Glory. I originally booked a 8A guarantee, but when I saw the risk of possibly being over the disco we paid a little extra to move up one deck. A small price to pay to make sure it's a quiet night. We have a 3 year old and don't stay out too late.
cardzz & cruzin Posted September 17, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2007 We cruised the Glory 2/10/07 in cabin 6382, which was a balcony cabin, very quiet in that part of the ship, almost to quiet. No noise from below or above, easy access to everything. Hope this helps.
java girl 65 Posted September 18, 2007 #8 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Thanks guys, I'll have to look into the cost of moving up one deck. I think if DH was able to sleep better then the extra cost would be worth it!!
