spirit rev Posted September 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2007 For those of you who are more computer/web knowledgable than I: I've seen a webcam from the Gem posted. How do I find it. I've looked on the NCL site but it says it is unavailable. All ideas are welcome. Thanks
Administrators Rare CC Help Michell Posted September 16, 2007 Administrators #8 Share Posted September 16, 2007 I love the photos from that site. So fun to watch construction, floatouts, etc. This last one was awesome -- it looked like they were taken from a plane or balloon? Amazing stuff. electricron Posted September 17, 2007 #16 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Amazing how that huge ship can be built so far inland! It's not all that far inland. From the North Sea, Pappenburg is at most 40 miles. New Orleans is 110 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, and has huge shipyards too. In both cases, having navigable rivers allows it. cmdchiefthom Posted September 17, 2007 #22 Share Posted September 17, 2007 I sure hope the Gem doesn't have the problem like the Pearl did when she came out, when they raised a bridge, and knocked out most of the power in Europe!
