I read in someone's review that Specialty Restaurants had discounted cover charges if dining early. Can anyone confirm this for me, or direct me to the source? :)

Can't confirm. Some of my NCL cruises offered this, some didn't

Thanks for the great information. I hope that the half price cover charge will be in effect for our November cruise on the Spirit. I'm not sure when this policy for NCL was put in place, but there were definitely no 1/2 price dining on the Sun to Alaska this July.

I also wonder when this was put in place.

Our past few NCL cruises had early-bird 1/2 price dining, late 1/2 price dining and/or no half price dining.

We assumed it was all based on busy/slow seasons.

Surry Gent, thanks for posting the info.

Thanks very much for this info. We are sailing on the Pearl in Nov.

Am curious with the "tasting menu" options - does this mean the portions are smaller?

Drink prices - are there specials with regard to wine & beer.

Thanks for posting that Surry Gent.

I do hope it is still in effect next time I cruise.

Can I ask where you got it from? I tried looking everywhere I could think of on the NCL site and couldn't find any info on this.

ETA: Do you know if this is publicized on the ship or is it a sort of, we'll do it if you ask but we won't advertise it. Sounds sort of silly to have a promotion that isn't promoted but I've seen stranger things.
