Looking for Lobster!!

Will be leaving on the Crown Princess this Saturday, 9/22, and am looking for recommendations for lobster - whole, tails, or rolls. The first two stops are in Halifax and St Johns. Will be in Peggy Cove in the morning with Jonathon's Tours (YourCab) in Halifax and would appreciate any recommendations for that area.

 

Can't wait to get there, hopefully the weather cooperates.

16. Can you recommend a seafood restaurant?

 

There are 3 great seafood restaurants in the area. Grannan's is located in Market Square; Steamer's Lobster Company is located across the street from the cruise ship dock; and Billy's Seafood is located at the top end of the Old Saint John City Market. All are great restaurants; however Billy's is consistently rated by locals as the best in an annual survey by a local publication. All have outdoor patios.

 

P.S. Your ship docks at Long Wharf, so Steamers is not across the street. All have Lobster Rolls.

Are all these places within reasonable walking distance from the pier at Long Wharf?

 

Also what is the extended weather forecast for next Monday, the 24th.

Long term weather for Monday the 24th is 15 C (60 F) with varibale clouds. The link above is for SJ weather.

 

All seafood restaurants you can easily walk to - they are all up in the uptown area.

Also...

Grannans may be a bit too formal for your liking just to get a Lobster Roll. I recommend Billy's in the city market or Steamer's on Water St.

There is also a fish stall in the city market that sells lobster rolls - but I never had it before therefore cannot offer a recommendation.

Acey...are you located in this area (New Brunswick/Nova Scotia)? If so, how is the fall foliage looking? Any change yet?

I live in Saint John, NB.

The foliage has not changed yet, although the odd tree will have a batch of fire red leaves. We are having unseasonably warm temps during the day the past few weeks, however it dips down quite cold at night now.
