Which cabin on the Sea Princess?

Due to budget constraints we can only afford to pick an inside cabin on our Sea Princess cruise. We have already been advised to choose a rectangular inside cabin rather than one that has a cut out.

These are our options:

D612 on the Dolphin deck - This is above the internet cafe/library. Will we hear much noise being directly above the promenade deck?

B233/B209 on the Baja deck - These are right at the front of the ship. Does it make alot of difference if you are positioned at the front, middle, or back of the ship in terms of noise/feeling movement? Also these cabins appear to be quite a way from the lifts. Does the distance become annoying?

Any tips/info would be great thanks.

I looked at the deck plans and see ythat all the cabins are a rectangular shape. This makes them bigger than the ones with a cutin door. I would say any would be fine. It's not really that long a walk to the lifts from any cabin.

ironically I have stayed in D612 (on Sea), and near the Baja ones on a sister ship.

D612 pros---it was very quiet, especially at night. I was worried about the stairs but never heard a soul. It's a nice, big cabin for an in side on Sun class. Near Vista lounge and promenade deck. Easy trip to back bar/hot tubs and gym. Stable movement even on high sea days. cons--far from almost everything else. Worst con was that so close to the casino, we stepped out into clouds of smoke almost every time we left the room and walked thru it to get to most things. But that could have been smokers nearby and thus affect that cruise only. It's a distance from the gangway if you have a beach itinerary where you will be on and off the ship.

Baja deck pros--close to almost everything you could want, except the gangway but that's an easy lift up. Buffet is almost right there, you can walk to inside areas easily too as many interesting things are forward on this ship. Less smokey of an area, depending on your neighbors-but no casino. Con-there is a bit of a walk to the lifts, but in the long run it's still less walking to most things. That high and forward, you'll feel motion (this is a pro to some who like the rocking when they sleep). Longer walk down the hall to get to the lifts, as you noticed.

And either way, you are on a cruise ship so it's all good, Have a nice trip!
