abba_dabba_doo Posted September 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2007 This will be our first cruise w/our DD's. Now I know the pullman beds are like a bunk bed, question is - does it have some sort of rail? DD2 (4) is a restless sleeper and I'm worried that she'd roll right off! Thanks!:o
momofsamandeden Posted September 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2007 On most cruises you can request a rail.
crusinmama06 Posted September 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2007 I am always the one to say this, so take it or leave it ;) but I don't allow my kids to sleep on the pullmans (ages 7 and 3). When we had one in December, I slept up there and they took the lowers beds. There was a mom who reported here (a long time ago) that her son broke his leg by falling out of one. I know it doesn't make for a romantic situation, but the thought of my child missing the rail (yes there is a SMALL rail) by scooching down to the end of the bed and falling off (also a possibility) is too scary to imagine. So no pullmans for my kids at this age. A broken leg or worse on vacation is not something I want to deal with. And the ironic part is that my kids actually fell out of the LOWER bed. So I am glad they weren't suspended in the ceiling.
