Rare TPKeller Posted September 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2007 They leave you a sheet of coupons that are perforated. You tear them apart, and put them in the envelopes that they also leave you. Very much like charging them on your sea pass card, except they have your money all that time earning interest! :) Theron

Littlenygs Posted September 23, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2007 How much are gratuities on RCI? Is it a per person per day kind of a thing? Are they automatically charged to your bill and if so are you able to change it so that you can give people cash at the end of the vacation. Also, who do they do they go to(waiter...)? And finally, is it automatically added to your bill when you purchase alcoholic drinks? I know that there are a lot of questions but thank you for the help. JanineM Posted September 23, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2007 You will receive a questionnaire part way through the cruise, asking if you want to charge the suggested gratuity to your Seapass account. If you choose to do this you will receive vouchers and envelopes for each member of your team (Room Steward, Waiter, Assistant Waiter, Head Waiter) on the last day of your cruise. You can choose to hand these to each individual, and if you believe they deserve an additional gratuity you can add cash to the envelope. We normally hand out the envelopes at the end of dinner on the last night, and to our steward on the last morning. Our experience has been that it is best to leave the handing out to the last minute. If you do not hand out the vouchers the individuals will still receive the gratuity, but most people like having the opportunity to hand out something and say "thank you". Hope this helps!
