honeymoon06 Posted September 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2007 We had been trying to decide between a 14nt cruise on sea princess or 10nt cruise on emerald princess. But thanks to my work we can no longer go for that long! :-( So now we are looking at booking the 7 nt cruise on the Caribbean Princess. I know that the Caribbean Princess is the sister to the Emerald but slightly older. Has anyone been on the Caribbean Princess and what did you think of it? Thanks for any info. Fuzzyape Posted September 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2007 We sailed the CB last year, and loved it. Though that's not saying much because we've loved all our Princess cruises. There's a website that has a lot of information on the boat. http://www.cruisingthecaribbeanprincess.com/ I think you might find a lot of pictures and information there. The ship is big, and it holds a lot of people, but as you so often read, I didn't feel crowded. We were on the ship last year during Valentines day, and so there were some additional decorations. Thankfully nothing too over the top. I think you'll enjoy the ship, and if you like the itinerary all the better! Have fun, whatever you decide :)
ggprincess2004 Posted September 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2007 We really have enjoyed our cruises on the Caribbean Princess. She is much younger than the Sea Princess - so I don't think her age will be an issue for you. I really think you can't go wrong with her - plenty of things to do and plenty of ways to relax. Bon Voyage!
cjm61 Posted September 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2007 My sister and I sailed the CB back in March. We had previosuly sailed Golden Princess and loved it. The CB will not disappoint. A beautiful ship with a great staff, very clean and well layed. We were on the Eastern Caribbean Sailing and loved the balance of Sea Days and Port Days. You won't go wrong if you pick this ship. have a great cruise!

sueandkent Posted September 24, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2007 Of the three ships we've been on, the CB was our favorite. The crew was great, entertainment and CD staff top notch. We also loved MUTS and did not find it too noisy.
janetz Posted September 24, 2007 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2007 The Carribean Princess will be going into drydock early next spring so if you are cruising after that, she will be refurbished. However, the CB is a great ship anyways. Here is our favorite place, " the Adults Only Pool" http://www.pbase.com:80/adwalsh/image/53135404
ISABELLA Posted September 24, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 24, 2007 Just got off the Caribbean Princess yesterday. LOVED it for the third time. Ship is very beautiful, public areas were clean. One minor thing - when it's fully booked - gets very crowded. Food was very good, seafood buffet are not to be missed, entertaiment was good, service was good, very clean, beds were comfortable, embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze -quite surprised. MUTs can use some new movies. Great cruise. I wish we were there for the Eastern itinerary.
B40 Tha Cruisa Posted September 24, 2007 #10 Share Posted September 24, 2007 I have been on the Caribbean Princess 2 times, and loved it both times! She really is a great ship. Very nice atmosphere and food was great on both occassions. I say book it! :)
starysacz Posted September 24, 2007 #11 Share Posted September 24, 2007 JANETZ: Thank you for the excellent pictures. Our son and daughter-in-law are on the ship right now. They will be back this coming Sunday and give us a report. From reading the reviews it should be a very positive report.
MrsNoPlea Posted September 25, 2007 #12 Share Posted September 25, 2007 Your pictures are fabulous! We will be on CB the same week this year and I can only hope we have such gorgeous weather! Thanks for sharing these!!!:p
Rare NthernLgts Posted September 25, 2007 #13 Share Posted September 25, 2007 We've been on the Caribbean Princess twice also, including last month. She's a big, beautiful ship (and only 3+ years old). One suggestion, it will make your traveling around the ship easier if you learn what bank of elevators to use when you leave your stateroom. janetz Posted September 25, 2007 #14 Share Posted September 25, 2007 Goodness, they are not "my" pics. :p I found them on a website that someone else had posted. I wish I could take pics like those. They are great. :)
