baseball16 Posted September 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2007 What do the cabin symbols mean. We are 3 in a cabin that has no symbol. Does this mean there are not enough beds and we should change cabins??
bubbles1209 Posted September 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2007 What type of cabin did you book? Inside, ocean view, suite? That would help a little :)
gnparend Posted September 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2007 Each cruise line have there own symbols. Look at the deck plans on the web sites and the cabin will have either 2 beds with sofa or 1 pullman or 2 pullmans. No symbol then no additional bed. baseball16 Posted September 24, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted September 24, 2007 We are booked on Carnival Liberty next May in a balcony cabin in 8281
lvtotrvl1 Posted September 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2007 Looks like it has just a sofa....8277 has a convertible sofa and an upper. 8285 has a single convertible sofa. I would call your TA or CCL and check.

baseball16 Posted September 24, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted September 24, 2007 Thanks for all the help I knew I could count on you guys answering. I did call Carnival and they said it has a sofa bed. Thanks again Happy cruising
Trevoli Posted September 24, 2007 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2007 I would imagine that you couldn't have booked 3 to a cabin if if it did not have adequate sleeping accomodations. T
baseball16 Posted September 25, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted September 25, 2007 You must haven't read too many of these boards, some horror stories from cruisers about their pvp bookings gone bad. the brochure does not show symbols for this cabin as the others do that's why I had the question, but Carnival says sofa bed so I'm going with that. aways good to check and trust nobody. It's all business
fllady61 Posted September 25, 2007 #10 Share Posted September 25, 2007 that cabin is the same as ours was last year. 2 twin beds that convert to KING, and a sofa that converts to twin bed. DD sleeps on sofa. IT IS NOT A PULL OUT SOFA BED. As someone else stated on another thread. they remove the pillow backings to make it a bed. Also has 2 drawers under it for storage. Dd usually takes the drawers, and DH and I share the closets. Some people say there is not enough room for clothes, but there is ample room. There are 2 closets for hanging clothes. and one with shelves on it. I think with a total of 5 shelves for folded clothes. Plus there are 3 drawers in the vanity. have fun. Hope this helps. baseball16 Posted September 26, 2007 Author #11 Share Posted September 26, 2007 thanks fllady. I was concerned because my 21 yr old had to use the upper last year and it was hard for him at 6' to climb up and down, I would think the sofa would be better than that and the same size. So what does the convertible bed do?? Does it let out for 2 people?

No, it is a twin bed after they remove the back pillows. that is the cabin from both angles.
