boilermom Posted September 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2007 I will be in St. Kitts from 12pm - 6pm. Is it possible to see Brimstone and then have some time at a nice beach? I would like to go to Lion(?) beach and then Ziggy's - should I book ahead or just wing it w/ a taxi when we get there?thanks in advance

Depends how long you spend at Brimstone Hill and the beach. Lion's Beach Bar on Cockleshell and Ziggy's on South Frigate Bay http://www.ziggysbeachbar.com are excellent choices. I would suggest one or the other (not enough time to see both). You get to South Frigate Bay before Cockleshell. Cockleshell is a quieter beach as well. South Frigate Bay has a water sports centre. You will find lots of taxi drivers at Port Zante or near The Circus. You can also e-mail your preferred taxi driver directly and have everything pre-arranged. I recommend Thenford Grey. http://*****
boilermom Posted September 27, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted September 27, 2007 Thanks Liz - I knew you'd come through - we don't want to spend a lot of time at Brimstone - just to see it - how far away is that from the beaches and are they near each other - thx
Liz Pereira Posted September 27, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2007 Thanks Liz - I knew you'd come through - we don't want to spend a lot of time at Brimstone - just to see it - how far away is that from the beaches and are they near each other - thx For a map of St. Kitts visit http://www.skyviews.com/stkitts/stkittsmap.html Most of the beaches are located in the Frigate Bay area and southeast peninsula. South Frigate Bay & South Friars are close to each other. I suggest you make arrangements prior to arrival in St. Kitts. Port Zante can get very busy when a cruise ship is in port, and you don't want to waste time negotiating with a taxi driver. Have everything pre-arranged for a taxi driver (price, routing, pick up and drop time) Taxi drivers usually are holding a sign with your name on it. Another taxi driver is Sackville Grey. http://www.sackvillegrey.com Enjoy your day in St. Kitts! :)
