Does anyone know if cabs are available at the Carnival cruise port to the Vancouver airport. Do not want to take the Carnival shuttle. Are there plenty of cabs to just jump on?

There are 2 piers but most berth at Canada Place. In either event there are lots of cabs available.

Cabs at Vancouver's cruise docks are NOT available at all times. Depending on when and how many ships are in there can be a very frustrating wait time.

Hopefully the City of Vancouver will be allowing more licensing of cabs for next season

As leftcoast mentioned, cabs are very "iffy" at best here in Vancouver, due to insufficient numbers of them.

 

I've had waits of up to an hour and a half for a cab from the cruise ship terminal at Ballantyne; less at Canada Place.

 

Personally, I'd take the shuttle offered by the cruise lines to YVR.

If you don't want to use the cruise shuttle you can book a limo, almost the same price as a cab.
