Since the Milli is leaving the MED. for Australia and Alaska, with no return in sight.

Does any celebrations go on similiar to a new ship coming to a port? We are on the last cruise out in November.

With a lot of Greek officers it would seem to be a big deal since one of our stops is Greece?

Anybody Know?

We were fortunate to be on the last sailing of the Norway in Europe some years ago. Because the ship was previously the France, there were over 600 French people on board to say goodbye to the ship and we docked in four Norwegian ports. When the ship pulled out of each port huge crowds lined the departure area to wave goodbye to the ship - very special and very moving.

Since it was the Norway leaving Norway and it was the last time, it was a big deal. I can't imagine people would feel the same way about the Millie and I would agree that perhaps some officers will simply switch to the ships to the Med itinerary.
